Darren Oliver
Darren Oliver is an award-winning IT Leader, having overseen the evolution and revolution of technology within one of Australia’s largest property valuation companies. Having moved the company to open source and cloud solutions from legacy systems, he’s been successful in transitioning the business to the new era of business technology, providing a solid innovation platform for the future. Moving to new endeavours, he has successfully led multiple teams to adopting agile methodologies, while fostering a culture of collaboration and engagement. Most recently he is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Internet-of-Things startup SensaWeb, as well as co-founder and director of IT Consulting startup, Seventy7 Solutions.
With two school-aged daughters he’s also passionate about helping educators, and education in general, prepare the next generations for a vastly different world. To this end he’s the vice chairman of of Westside Christian College on the outskirts of Brisbane, and a member of the executive branch of the Australian Computer Society in Queensland.
In his spare time he’s a serial DIY-er, enjoying building things with a hammer and nails, as well as code.
Kylie McKiernan
Kylie McKiernan is a passionate and influential executive with a focus on delivering business value through the use of best practice processes and right-sized technology. She excels in ensuring teams know the ‘Why’, delivering a clear strategy while allowing people to excel in their areas of expertise.
Having been involved in a range of roles and industries, Kylie is the co-founder and director of IT Consulting startup, Seventy7 Solutions, as well as Project Manager in the successful Brisbane startup and YCombinator-graduate GO1. In a past life, Kylie was also a Property Valuer before finding a passion, and being lured, towards technology and business process improvements.
Away from work, Kylie has two high-school aged children, is involved in Women in Technology and giving back to the community as a mentor, and is especially looking forward to volunteering at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
